Ian Dukes (MIFireE) has extensive experience in fire safety. He spent over 33 years working for the Fire Service, 8 of those as a Fire Service Trainer/Instructor, where he gained many training qualifications and the experience necessary to compile excellent training courses as well as the skills in which to deliver the training content and material in an effective way.
Most recently Ian was a Fire Safety Inspector and Building Control Liaison Officer for Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Authority. Put simply he was at the forefront of investigating businesses, education establishments, shops, care facilities, landlords etc to ensure they complied with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and where he found failings it was his responsibility to enforce the order.
To be an enforcement officer Ian gained extensive knowledge of the regulations governing fire safety. His knowledge and understanding of the regulations and how they should be implemented in practical terms, makes him the ideal professional to assess your business, advise managers on all aspects of fire safety and train you and your staff.
Mr Ian Dukes is registered as a
Fire Risk Assessor (Life Safety Stream)
with the Institute of Fire Engineers.
Nic worked as an Accommodation and Facilities Manager for an Oxford University College for 10 years. She has extensive knowledge of student lettings and some of the challenges faced by landlords and tenants alike and understands the realities faced on the lettings market.
She also has a keen interest in health and safety (and having gained the IOSH Managing Safely qualification) managed a vast health and safety schedule for the College which included fire safety. She is now able to bring her health and safety, facilities management and fire knowledge together to work with companies to achieve excellent standards of fire safety management.
Nic recently completed a course in Advanced Fire Risk Assessment in Residential Properties with the FPA and an additional course on Fire Safety Measure in HMOS to ensure her knowledge is right up to date in this key area of our business.
