  • What is a Fire Risk Assessment?

    If you are an employer or in control of any part of a commercial premise (including rental properties, care homes etc) you have a legal obligation to carry out a detailed fire risk assessment of that premise to identify the risks and hazards regarding fire safety and how these can be reduced or managed.

    Landlords and Agents who rent out residential properties also have to have Landlord HMO fire risk assessments to meet the requirements of HMO licensing. Different Councils requirements will vary and in Oxford the rules are particularly stringent, due to the high level of rented accommodation within the City.

Post ‘Fire Authority Inspection’ Advice

If you have had a visit or audit from the local fire authority they will follow up with a report which can include advice or various notices. We can take you through this and advise you on what to do next.
